From June 24 to 28, Wang Yao, Vice President of China Cotton Textile Industry Association, Ouyang Xiazi, Deputy Secretary General, together with relevant expert teams from Sidelli Group, Sunrebe Biotechnology and Litai (Xingshi), visited the Xinjiang Autonomous Region Cotton Textile Industry Cluster Park, focusing on cotton textile manufacturing enterprises in Kuerle, Yining and Aksu regions, Understand the production and operation of the enterprise and its future development plan on the spot.

From the development status of cotton weaving in the survey area, the scale of weaving monomer in Korla is small, including the production capacity of cotton shuttle weaving, filament weaving and knitted fabric. It is understood that the region plans to introduce large printing and dyeing enterprises to extend and strengthen the chain; The cotton weaving capacity in Yining area is basically concentrated in the textile industrial park, and the workshops and supporting facilities are provided by the government. It is understood that 15 standardized workshops are built in the two phases of the park, each workshop can be equipped with about 300 looms, and the products are mainly pure cotton wide width home textile fabrics; The single cotton weaving enterprises in Aksu Textile Industrial Park are large in scale. The total weaving capacity involved in this survey is nearly 3000 looms. In addition, there is a planned weaving capacity under construction. There is a certain scale of printing and dyeing capacity in the park, radiating to the surrounding small and medium-sized weaving enterprises.

The weaving enterprises visited mostly produce pure cotton grey cloth, which is mainly used to produce clothing and bedding, with low technical content and added value; Limited by printing and dyeing capacity, the products still need to be transported to the mainland for further processing; Far from the eastern coastal market, the "quick reaction" capacity is insufficient, and the differentiated product development and production capacity has not been formed yet. In addition, skilled workers in some factories are still mainly mainland workers, resulting in higher overall labor costs.

Since 2024, due to insufficient demand in the downstream market, enterprises in Xinjiang have generally reported increased operating pressure. As enterprises transferred from the mainland to Xinjiang, a series of preferential policies of Xinjiang Autonomous Region and local governments are also important factors to attract enterprise investment, including low prices of electricity, steam and other energy, and corresponding policy support for investment in fixed assets, transportation out of Xinjiang and worker training, which can effectively help enterprises reduce operating costs to a certain extent. In the survey, some enterprises also reported that with the growth of weaving capacity in Xinjiang in the future, in order to avoid the homogenization of products, differentiated product development directions such as Lyocell and elastic fabric may be the only way.
