Global Economy: US Cotton Export Weekly Report Shows China Cancels Contracts In Large Numbers

According to the report of the US Department of agriculture, from November 11 to 17, 2022, the net contracted volume of Upland Cotton in the United States will be - 26400 tons in 2022 / 23. The new contracts will mainly come from India, Indonesia, Turkey, Taiwan and Mexico, while the contracts will be cancelled by China (24800 tons), Pakistan, El Salvador and Peru.

The contracted volume of net export of Upland Cotton in 2023 / 24 of the United States is 2790 tons, and the buyers are Turkey and Pakistan.

In 2022 / 23, the U.S. upland cotton freight volume is 32600 tons, mainly to China (16000 tons), Pakistan, Turkey, Mexico and Taiwan.

In 2022 / 23, the net contracted volume of Pima cotton in the United States is 1179 tons, and the buyers are China (839 tons), Egypt, Vietnam, Indonesia and Japan.

The United States exports 748 tons of Pima cotton in 2022 / 23, mainly to Egypt, Peru, Thailand and Djibouti.
